Day 3 Sono and follie size
I went in today for my day 3 sono and bloodwork. The sono showed I had two follies at a small 9 and one at a 10.5. This is my second cycle after a failed Clomid/IUI. Last time it took me over three weeks to get to a 10.5 and nothing else over a 6. The Dr. said it's possible that they may grow and can shrink?? I'm confused. I didn't think I would have follies that big already and they can shrink? I start on Clomid again today. Anyone else have this experience or can share thier thoughts? Thanks.

Normally a CD3 is to make sure that you dont have any follies left over before you start meds..

Re: Day 3 Sono and follie size
I never have any follicles on CD 3 that are even close to measureable. Like Ang said- they just check to see if I have cysts after the last cycle.
Last cycle I had a 12mm one day and then a couple days later it withered away.

Re: Day 3 Sono and follie size
usually at CD 3 they check for cysts...Did you do bloodwork to confirm that they are follicles and not just cysts...from my experience they will let you proceed with a cyst as long as it does not produce estrogen and its small enough...
