Dance school Moms come on in
So DD will be 3 in November and I am wondering if I should sign her up for Dance in Sept. She is taking Baby Ballet right now and is going to be for the rest of the summer. I have zero experience with dance school but I want her in as early as possible. I live in Lindenhurst. Any thought or recommendations?

My girl started dance at that age. They also have a November birthday. They did great and love it. They are going on their 3rd year of dance. I am not close by so I do not have any recommendation but I think it will be fine. It is nice I get an hour during the class to go run some errands or get a coffee.

Divine Rhythyms in West Islip. We signed my DD up last year ( also a November birthday). We have been very happy with them. They also offer Acro classes which she likes even more than the dance classes.

Re: Dance school Moms come on in
My DD just completed her first year. She turned 3 at the end of September and ballet lessons were a Christmas gift, so she started in January. I think you could def start your DD in Sept, or if you wanted to do another session of baby ballet and start her a little later, most classes accept registration on a rolling basis. I didn't feel my DD was in anyway behind by staring a little later, and the recital routine was introduced in February

Re: Dance school Moms come on in
I don't have any dance school recommendations, but I highly recommend dance as an activity. All three of my girls (9,7, almost 3) dance and I feel like it does have a lot of great benefits. My almost 3 year old went on stage in front of hundreds of people and danced! My girls have developed confidence and have developed great friendships. It is also a great release for them as they get older. Good luck finding a great school!

Thank you ladies! I have found a local school and will be registering her for fall! I am so excited as I always wanted to dance but my parents didn't have the extra $. My daughter LOVES Baby ballet so I think this will be a good transition for her. I want to keep her active and fit as we have a propensity for obesity in my family.

Re: Dance school Moms come on in
My daughter just completed her first year of dance and it was a success! She was in the three-year-old class even though she didn't technically turn three until November (you were supposed to be three by September). She did fine!
