"Dainty" children/Just not gaining weight
My girls have been wearing the same size for MONTHS! In pants they are a size 12 months & in tops they were an 18 months. They are 22 months old! Last time they were at the pediatrician he said they are just dainty. But, now there at the age where they don't eat as much. Has anyone ever gone thru this? Patrick was the total oppostie. (He was a ball of butter) I try not to stress over it. But, it's hard especially with a closet full of 18 month short sets that they will NEVER wear.

My oldest is like this. No matter how much we make her eat she never gains weight. She's tall and superskinny. She turned 4 in March and she's still in 3T clothes, my 2 year old is the same size as her.
She'll be one of the lucky ones who can eat anything and not gain weight

Miranda is like that. She's little. She's been 21 pounds forever. She's in 18m bottoms but can still wear 12m I just had so much 18m for her to wear. Tops are the same. I haven't even bought ahead for next summer because looking at 2T's and 3T's I can't imagine she'll get that big by then. She's a pretty terrible eater most of the time but she's always stayed on her same growth curve so we try not to worry.

I have to take in 18 month shorts/skirts.
Hell even some 12 months are to big on their tiny waists.

Joseph is only 25 lbs soaking wet. He wears 12 month shorts and 18 month clothes and they will be 2 this weekend. Mattingly is 29 1/2 so it is frustrating that they are not the same size. My Dr has said that he si fine if they are eating and acting normally, if they were constantly tired or listless then there would be an issue.

Talia will be 2 in a few weeks. She is still 22 lbs. She eats aaaaaaaaaaaall day long..I'm not joking!!! She doesn't gain weight. And she will eat anything - she NEVER turns down food.
The way I see it is I wish I had that metabolism!!

Re: "Dainty" children/Just not gaining weight
Both of my children are like this. Paul is almost 5 and a half, and he is still wearing 4T shorts this summer.
Elena is just 2, and she is still UNDER 25 lbs. She has a great appetite...but she just never stops moving, so she's got an amazing metablolism. Most of her clothing is 24 mos. but the pants are always falling off her - I have to cuff the waistband, to get things to stay up.
On one hand, it's great b/c I save some $$ on clothing. On the other, it is frustrating b/c nothing ever looks "right." Oh well...they are healthy, and that's what is most important.

Antonio has been 25 pounds forever! He just fits into 24 months/27 but sometimes if I forget to put a belt he looses his shorts in public.
He is a terrible picky eater...I stress a lot too! On Sunday he ate a yogurt and a pnacake all day long!

Amber is still 25 lbs at 3...she wears 18 months pants but 2-3T tops I've taken her in for all kinds of tests and they just pretty much tell me she's "petite". Clothes for this kid make me crazy though

Exact same here. Excpet all the things she couldn;t wear in the winter and spring will now fit in the fall.
