cystic fibrosis carrier -- Update in first post
I just got a call from my drs. office letting me know that my preliminary bloodwork showed that I am a carrier for CF 
my husband has to go get tested now. I know we both have to be carriers for their to be a risk to the baby and I have heard there is a low risk that we are both carriers for the same mutation, but it is still scary.
guess all I can do now is wait and pray 
UPDATE: we finally got the results of my husbands blood work and it came back negative...thank goodness! thank you for all your prayers! one less thing to worry about

i know how you feel! i am a CF carrier too! it is really a very slim chance that your DH is a carrier too... even if he is, i think he needs to have the same genetic marker as you for there to even be that 25% chance that the baby has CF
it was the worst wait of my life, but everything came back fine & my DH isnt a carrier -- try to stay calm!

I'm sorry! I'm sure everything will be fine. this happened with my SIL and her husband wasn't a carrier.

I am a carrier too. I was literally hysterically crying as the lady at my ob office was telling me over the phone. Then, like the fool that I am, proceeded to google everything imaginable about CF which only made me feel worse, totally disregarding the information about there being a slim chance that. my husband would have the same mutation as I do.
Turns out that he wasn't even a carrier and that everything worked out so my advice is that he probably is not even a carrier and if so, the chances that it's the same mutation are super slim and don't go googling stuff it will only drive you insane lol

Thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement.
The waiting game stinks! I think they should test your DH the same time they test you to avoid having to wait for results.
