Cyst and no Clomid

Today I had my follow up sono from my IUI from 2 weeks ago (not pg ). Well as it turns out, I have a cyst on my ovary and cannot do another cycle with Clomid this month.

I had the sono done by another doc so he wouldn't give me any info on how to proceed - said I'd have to speak to my doc. I left the office in near tears, not knowing what that meant for this cycle. I spent the day playing phone tag with my RE, and was never able to connect with her (being a teacher does not allow me free access to my phone ).

Has this happened to anyone else? Having a cyst and not being able to do Clomid again? If so, how did you proceed for that month? Did you do an unmedicated insemination? Try on your own?

from what ive heard a lot of people do 3 weeks of BCP to get rid of the cysts.

i am in a similar situation - i overstimmed last cycle and had follies left so i have to do 3 weeks of BCP and hope that they clear everything out to start over with meds again next cycle. a lot of women do this prior to IVF as well, to sort of clear out the other hormones and be able to start the next cycle at a specific time (usually determined by the RE).

sorry about the cysts - hopefully you just need a short break to calm your ovaries!
