CVS- Anyone do this?
My SIL is trying to decide between this and amnio and is looking for feedback. We have the one of the premier centers here in LA at Cedar-Sinai for CVS so she has a wonderful place to go if she chooses.

Re: CVS- Anyone do this?
I was supposed to do this because I was preggo with ID twins and there were abnormaltites but when I got to the office and they did the SONO first there were no heartbeats so I never had it done

Re: CVS- Anyone do this?
I chose amnio over CVS because there is a higher risk of m/c associated w/ a CVS (it's about 1%). Also, unlike amnio, CVS doesn't test for neural tube defects (ie spina bifida). DH and I had amnio with both of our pgs because of my age (but mostly because DH and I wanted to be "prepared" if there were any problems).
CVS is done during weeks 10-12 where amnio is done during weeks 15-17. Obviously, if termination were a consideration, then CVS is the "better" choice because the results can be found out much sooner. It's such a personal decision.

Re: CVS- Anyone do this?
Thanks everyone- I was hoping to hear of at least one but I guess Amnio is still most popular.
I am so sorry about your loss Samlove-
