cutting down to 3 bottles
When did you go down to 3 bottles, We are at 4 now, they are getting smaller, but I can't imagine eliminating one.
DS is almost 8 months. His eating schedule is:
730am: 6oz bottle
10am: stage 2 fruit
11:30am 6oz bottle
130/2pm : stage 2 veg or fuit.veg blend & puffs
3:30pm 6oz bottle
630pm: stage 2 dinner and puffs
8pm 8oz bottle

cutting down to 3 bottles
I dont plan to eliminate yet... at 6 mos my dr said not to go below 24oz of formula. Even if we feed 2 or 3 meals a day.

DD is almost 10 months and we're still on 4 bottles. Ped said to follow her lead - and since she's still drinking at least 6 oz from each bottle, we're sticking with them.

cutting down to 3 bottles
Dd was about 7 months when she cut down to three. I followed her lead. She wasn't drinking more then 2-3oz out of the one I cut.

thanks all! I will just go with it.... we cut down to 6 oz following is lead, so I guess he will just let us know when he is ready! right now it is working this way then!

i'm a big believer of, if it aint broke, don't fix it! lol I agree with following their lead. 3 bottles vs 4... it's not going to hurt them, so just go with what works for them, IMO. I think we went down to 3 bottles maybe around 9-10 months... I forget now... but she was basically fighting her late morning and afternoon bottles, so I just started giving her a bigger breakfast, and bigger lunch and went down to 3 bottles. even then, it took a while to figure out what time that middle bottle needed to be. dd is 11.5 months and does:
5:30-6:15am 10oz
9am 4tbsp baby cereal mixed with 2oz formula and a container of fruit puree
lunch anywhere between 12-1:30
3pm bottle can be 2-5oz
5pm dinner
6:15 10oz bottle
