Custom Marble Vanity top
Anyone know where we can get a custom marble vanity top made? We got a great deal on a vanity without the counter top at Pottery Barn Outlet this weekend.

Re: Custom Marble Vanity top
I got mine from G & T marble.
They are off the LIE in Suffolk. I don't remember the details of their contact info.
My FIL sends most of his customers to them.
They'll take you in the wharehouse where you can pick your exact slab. Make sure you sign the back of it, they'll ask you do do it, so you know you have the exact one you picked as no two slabs are the same.
Just FYI, marble is very porous and a lot of different liquids, if placed on it will eat right through the seal, leave a ring or the shape of the container/spill and stain the marble. It's not recommended for a high traffic bathroom.
ETA: I have pics in my home album of mine, Carerra marble top in MB.

Thanks. What other materials are available? Granite is probably overkill for the bathroom.

I believe G. T. only sells granite and marble but I could be wrong... I know they only deal in natural stone.
I've seen some very plain, almost solid colored granites and some crazy "busy" granites, same for marbles. So it depends upon the type you want and even then the individual slab. I think I looked at three slabs of Carerra, one had hardly any veins, one a lot and a lot of grey and one medium... I choose the medium.

Be careful with Marble, its very very porous, and it stains very easily.
I had marble counters and floors growing up in my bathroom and they got very stained.
You should try Nash Granite and Marble off of Route 100, its on Gazza road
