Our MB is slate blue/gray - our bedspread (which we may replace sage with purple and blue flowers here and there). I need curtains desperately in there - should i go with

1) a solid beige/neutral
2) would a pattern of stripes or something be ok even if we keep our bedspread for a while?

I'm not a matchy matchy person but I don't want it to look weird either.
