Curtain help
I have a kitchen that opens into my family room. We are doing roman shades on the kitchen windows and want to have curtains made in a coordinating fabric for the family room, so it all flows. In the family room, we have a slider and a large window. We like full length drapes on the slider, so we can close them at night. I'm not sure what to put on the window though. Would you put full length curtains, or some type of valance? I don't want a roman shade in there, because we get a lot of sun in that window and it drives my kids crazy when they are playing in there and it would always be closed. Help!

Re: Curtain help
I would do full length and match the sliders. It will look more cohesive.

agree. We had a similar situation in our old master, we had the sliders and then a regular window. We did this and it looked more cohesive

Re: Curtain help
Thanks...that actually makes it easier since I need to have them custom made! Another question...would you hang the curtain rod at the same height as the one on the slider, or a few inches above the window as I normally would?

Re: Curtain help
we hung them the same height so that they hit the floor at the same spot, both just grazed the floor. It gave the illusion of the window being larger than it was
