curtain help
I am not a fan of curtains at all, but I need to put them in one bedroom in my house because it is way too bright in the morning.
Anyway, I have those faux white wood blides on every window in my house. What size do I get for curtains 84inch or 95iinch? The 84 would go from the top of my current blind to the floor....the 95 would go from ceiling to the floor.
They also have 63inch length, but that would like cut my wall in 1/2 and look out of place, right?
I guess what I am asking is what is currently in style with curtains? I know the 95 would add height to the room.
My house is like pottery barnish as far as style goes.
edited to say: I guess I should say panels and not curtains. I plan on getting a solid color panel (grommet style) to hang straight down on each side of the window that I can close at night, no valance, no sheers, no fancy whatevers, just panels.

Re: curtain help
you want solid colored (neutral colored) panels on a simple rod.. you can get it 84" but that'll make it just about to the floor if you put the rod right above the window moulding.
I prefer 95" because it makes the window appear bigger (I hang the rod about 5-6 inches from the ceiling and I like that when the panels are open, it doesn't cover any of the window opening and lets all the sun in and I like it to brush against the floor.

I agree, solid neutral is what I am going for so it is very streamline and a bronze rod since that is my scheme.
