Crying out/screaming during sleep??
DS is 3 months old today and for the past few days when he goes down for a nap or down for the night he's been having these high pitched screams or cries while he's sleeping. I think he's awake so I check the monitor and he's still sleeping. Also, he'll wake up hours before its time to eat and he's screaming and crying. It takes a good several minutes to soothe him and get him back down.
Any idea what this could be from? He is teething but I dont think he's anywhere ready to cut a tooth. Could ti be teething? I thought maybe an ear infection, but he's not pulling at his ears and he doesnt have a fever. And he was at the Ped's office last week and she checked his ears and he was fine

Re: Crying out/screaming during sleep??
It's probably nothing to worry about. I think sometimes they just have vivid "dreams" or they startle in their sleep. My DD is 13 months and has been doing that for months and months. Every now again she'll let out a yelp but she usually sleeps through it. On occasion she will wake up but she's usually in a twilight type of sleep and not fully awake so it takes a few minutes to relax her but then she goes right back to sleep.
