crying during diaper changes
DD is almost 14 mos and for the last 2 mos, she get hysterical anytime we have to change her diaper or get her dressed. It makes both tasks very taxing. I just don't get it. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it just another phase they grow out of?

Its a phase...DS did that fora while also...we had to do it together while DH held a bottle and I would do the change. It passed quickly though! Good Luck!

DD went through that too. She is 15 months now. I've kind of changed my approach and it is much better. I keep telling her that it's time for a diaper change. I don't grab her and put her on her changer. I just keep saying, "come on...time for a diaper change" and she knows. When she comes to me and puts her hands up, it's like she's ready and then there's no tears.

def. a phase!!!! kayla did that for a while too.... i didnt know what the heck was going on.... i was so worried about what could have been causing it.... but it finally stopped... to help i used to give her things to hold and sing funny songs to get her mind off what i was doing so that by the time she realized i was already done! i hope it doesnt last long for ya

Thanks everyone. I've actually been trying to change my approach, but saying to DD...'okay, it's time to get dressed and/or change your diaper'. Now that she 'gets' what that means, she runs and hides.
It's an especially fun game when were trying to get out of the house in the morning

errrrr i know what you mean!!! 
usually the only thing that works when that happens is if i make it like a game for her somehow.... like tell her its a race or something.. sometimes it works.. sometimes not so much... ah well
