Re: Crockpot rules !

I also got the Fit it & Forget it
Crock pot cookbook w over 1400 receipies. Try ebay it was only $16

Crockpot Chocolate Cake

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 7 hours

Ingredients:
1 pkg. two layer chocolate cake mix
3 oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
4 eggs
1 cup water
2 cups sour cream
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup milk chocolate chips

Preparation:
Spray a 4 quart crockpot with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and pudding mix. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs with the water, then add the sour cream and oil and beat until smooth. Add to the dry ingredients and beat well. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour into crockpot. Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, until top springs back when touched very lightly with finger. 8-10 servings

my note - put papertowel over the cp then cover so that will absorb the moisture

Re: Crockpot rules !

I made this tonight - SO SO good!! Definitely my new favorite pork recipe:

4-6 pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste (I used minced garlic)
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 large onion,
2 cubes chicken bouillon
2 cups boiling water
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream (I used Fat Free)

1.Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and then dredge in 1/2 cup flour. In a skillet over medium heat, lightly brown chops in a small amount of oil.
2.Place chops in slow cooker, and top with onion slices. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water and pour over chops. Cover, and cook on Low 7 to 8 hours.
3.After the chops have cooked, transfer them to a seperate dish. Be careful, the chops are so tender they will fall apart. In a small bowl, blend 2 tablespoons flour with the sour cream (I only used about 2/3 of the container); mix into meat juices from the crock pot.

**I made mashed potatoes as a side. The creamy sauce was really really good over the potatoes too.

Serve sauce over pork chops.
