Crockpot?

If I have a 7 Qt crockpot and the recipe only calls for 31/2-4Qt crockpot can I still make it in my crockpot or do I need to add more to the recipe??

i have a large crockpot also.
i just cook it for less time than the directions say

They say your crockpot should be at least half full, so I normally double or 1.5 the recipes for smaller crock pots.

Thank you for the information. so far so good. I made DH a whole chicken with potatoes and carrots last night and he LOVED it! I have potato soup going in it right now! I think this is my new favorite kitchen gadget!!!! I just love how the house smells all day!

Hi there,

You can always put like a glass pyrex that is the size you need, that would fit INSIDE your crockpot and cook it in there. I've done that when a crockpot recipe calls for a smaller size crockpot. It works!
