CRICKETS! YUCK!!
WHY ARE THERE CRICKETS IN MY HOUSE?!?!?! SECOND CRICKET KILLED IN TWO DAYS!! WTF?!?! I AM GROSSED OUT! ARE THEY JUST WALKING IN WITH ME!??! OMG! ARE THEY HANGING ON MY PANTS AS I WALK IN? CAN THEY FIND A WAY IN FROM OUTSIDE?
NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE!
HELP!!

We have the hopping ones in our basement and I have seen one upstairs, our cat killed it they are sooooo gross!

I have killed 3 in the pass 3 weeks, the ones I am getting are a light brown sandy color! I hate them!!

They are really bad this year, all types of crickets.
People I know who never had them or knew what they are now have them. The warm winter, hot summer, and large amounts of rain the past 12 months did not help.
I am sure they will all be looking for a place to hide this Sunday when it is 55degrees and everyone will get more of them.
The only thing that was really done the trick for me is NIBAN granuales. I buy it on amazon.com I spread it around the foundation outside of the house.
and of course glue traps if any come in and running the dehumidier everyday and keeping a neat basement with less places to hide. I read they love cardboard.

We get them primarily in the basement and since we don't have pets or kids I spread the glue traps around an that catches most of them. We used to have a problem in the family room which had been a garage which was renovated by the previous owners. They did a lousy job on the conversion and when we made some improvements to seal things up better it ended the cricket problems there. I think sealing any small cracks or crevices in cellar doors, foundation and siding areas, etc. can help minimize their ability to get in.

I HATE THOSE ***** THINGS!!!!!!
I spray the perimeter of the basement with bug spray and that helps.
Also, traps near windows help as well.
