crib boxes
We are thinking about buying our crib soon because of coupons/gift cards, but the babys room is nowhere near ready yet. We only have our bedroom and the bedroom that will be the baby's so I'm just wondering 1: around how big are the boxes that the cribs come in (unassembled). and 2: do you think they would fit in a car? I was debating having it shipped to my moms and then getting it when we are more ready, but if it cant fit in a car, that would be a little bit of a hassle. TY!

Re: crib boxes
We bought the Manchester Crib at BRU and it fit in our Ford Escape. If you have an SUV, it should fit with the seats down. It won't fit in a car. There was no way I was paying $120 on shipping to go a few blocks! As for the box, we are still waiting a little longer to put our crib together as well. The box is long but is pretty narrow.

We have a crossover and ours fit with the backseats put down. We stored it at my moms until we were ready to put it into the room

It def wont fit in a car. We picked ours up with dh pick up truck.
The box is flat but big. As big as the long side of the crib you pick. So think of that. If you bought one that has a high back then it's a pretty big box

Re: crib boxes
It definitely will not fit in a car and they are HEAVY! Why not just order it and have the store hold it until you're ready for delivery? Often the furniture isn't in stock anyway. We ordered from BBB in November and had it delivered ($100 fee) AND assembled ($25) in January. Best $25 we ever spent b/c those cribs are BIG and HEAVY. No way at 36 weeks pregnant I could've helped DH put it together!

I wish this was an option but the store doesn't hold it. Buying it from anywhere else we'd lose out on hundreds.
Thanks for all the opinions. Our whole family has regular cars so def something to think about.
