Crazy Gas Pains
I've been have crazy gas pains/cramps in my upper abdomen/under my breastbone! Some even shooting into my shoulder area! It's not so bad when I lay down, but gets worse as soon as I stand up.
What do you ladies do for gas? TMI:but I'm not actually getting rid of the gas, it's just floating around and making me miserable!

Re: Crazy Gas Pains
Are you sure it's gas. I had that all pregnancy and thought it was gas. It was actually my gallbladder! Very common during pregnancy and your symptoms sound very much like gallstone symptoms.

Yikes!!! I'm 24 weeks and it just started yesterday...but now that you mention it, my cousin had gallbladder problems during her pregnancy and actually had it removed after pregnancy!
I remember bad gas with my 1st pregnancy too, but it would come and go. How would I know if its gas or gallbladder? I rested on my side and drank warm water (bc my mom swears this helps gas), and I do feel some relief, except now I have heartburn!

With mine, it was a sharp, severe pain under my right rib cage that would radiate to my shoulder and back. Nothing helped it- moving positions, laying down etc. When I was pregnant it would come and go but after I delivered I had an attack that lasted for 3 days. It was awful. I finally went to the ER on day 3 of the pain and they did a sono and found gallstones. Very common in pregnancy the doctors said. I had it removed the next day. I would just keep an eye on it and if it comes back like that check with your doctor. There really isn't much they can do while you are pregnant. You just have to be careful with fatty foods- that is what set off my attacks.

Re: Crazy Gas Pains
I've had 2 instances where I couldn't do anything but stay in bed and cry bc of the pain. Gas x eventually helped. Also, my mm who is a nurse told me to get on my hands and knees, keep my behind up in the air and put my chest towards the floor. It slowly helped the gas move along.

Thanks for the responses! I'll definitely pay attention if it happens again, and let my Dr know!!
And thanks for the positioning tip! Sounds like a yoga move!!!
I'm feeling much better so far today.

I was just going to ask the same thing. I experienced that when I was pregnant and it turned out to be my gallbladder. Pregnancy makes the gallbladder even worse. If it continues I would call your doctor.
