Crazy day the mall - boy falls from 2nd floor!

Boy falls at mall

I was at the mall yesterday and was literally right there when this happened. I heard him scream and then hit the floor. It was horrible! Thankfully he was not seriously hurt.

I was so upset all day yesterday after it happened. Everyone had a different story at the mall and a lot of people were saying he was with friends and the were fooling around, which made me say that DS is never going to be allowed to go to the mall without me!!
But then I saw in the paper today that he was running away from his father! Poor kid -- what would make him climb over the rail?!?!?

The kid was 12 and did it on purpose it said. I wouldn't NOT bring my kid to the mall because of something like this. Strange incident indeed though.

I should clarify what i mean -- I didnt mean whe could never go to the mall.....when it first happened and people said it was because he was playing around with his friends and he fell over it made me flash forward to when he asks to go to the mall with his friends. Crazy I know!!!

When i saw what really happened it is even more upsetting that he climbed over the railing on purpose! He was running away from his Dad supposedly. It seems like he was trying to piss off his Dad by going over the rail, not actually intending to fall.
