Crayola Color Wonder - question
I was thinking of getting these markers and paper for our first airplane trip with DS (he'll be 15 months). A couple of reviews mentioned the color takes a long time to show up on the paper - seems like that would defeat the purpose of entertaining a young toddler, no?
If you have these, how long does it take for the color to show? Is it a good idea for a 15 month old?

Re: Crayola Color Wonder - question
Yes it takes forever in the world of a toddler and its not very dark. I got some for AJ and she has no patience for them. They've been put away ever since.
Instead I got one of those water pen things Aquadoodle travel size. She LOOOOVED that! Sat in the airplane and doodled away.
I brought little toy cars, bus and airplane too.
We had a glow station but never got around to pulling it out. Frankly I used it later and wasn't too impressed with it either.

I think they are okay ... I guess it depends on the kid. I mean, you can tell at first that she's like "What the heck?" but she keeps at it (it's not like she's having a tantrum because there isn't immediate color) and I think it's fine.
We've had several books, including small ones for a plane ride.

I agree about the Aquadoodle!http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2674099&CAWELAID=108270579
As for the color wonder, I mean it takes a second or two, but its not like you wait 10 minutes for it to show up. It has never seemed to bother Eddie.

DS and i love this stuff. It does take a few seconds to show up; i find if you buy the blank books of paper it shows up faster than on the disney/theme coloring books.
but its not like it takes an eternity to show up. its a few seconds.

DS love the little tikes board. One side is a chalkboard and the other is the magnetic board.

It kept him entertained a majority of the plane ride to FL.

Re: Crayola Color Wonder - question
Yup this is what AJ has and adores
Only con (if it is one) is at first the pen won't work. I had to wet the tip then the rest sort of followed after that. Every now and then she'll go a month or so without touching it and we have to do that again. Otherwise .. best money I spent!
