Crashing...Car Seat Question

Am I better off using the Latch system behind the passenger side, or the seat belt in the center seat of the car? I don't have latches in the center of my car, so I'm not sure which is considered safest?

Re: Crashing...Car Seat Question

What does your car manual say? My car (Subaru Forrester) specifically said no seats in the middle.

I can't put seats in the middle of my car either (chevy cavalier) so definitely check your manual.

Personally I feel that I can get a much tighter fit using the latch system.

Re: Crashing...Car Seat Question

Middle is techsmically the safest as long as you can get a good install.

I don't use latch. I look at this way, latch was designed to hold somewhere between 40 and 65 lbs. a seatbelt was designed to hold a 300 lb adult.

Crashing...Car Seat Question

We have ours behind the drivers seat bc there is no LATCH connection in the middle in our car either.
