Craigslist is great!
We had to replace our wood fence this week. My brother was going to pick up the sections this weekend and take them to the dump.
Instead, I posted an ad on Craigslist stating that we had the old fence if anyone wanted it for scrap.
Someone came by today and picked through the sections and loaded some in his truck. He than moved the remaining sections to the street for us from our driveway.
So I placed another ad on Craigslist for a curb alert saying "old fence at curb for scrap. If you come by to pick it up, please just be neat about it".
Well someone came by tonight and took the rest in 3 trips!  And cleaned up nicely.
I'm just happy someone else was able to use it and it didn't end up in the dump.

i am addicted right now looking for a piece of furniture.
i love the recycling parts about craigslst and that our landfills have that much less in it b/c of recycling, restoring and / or repurposing.

I have a brand-new couch, coffee table & lamp from Craig's list. I also bought a beautiful crate for my dog for like $20.
It's great!! Too bad some killer had to tarnish it's name!!

our stove crapped out and we didn't want to spend a bunch since we'll convert to gas when we redo the kitchen....got one from craigslist for $200!

it def is! we've sold some pretty new stuff on there... just things we wanted to replace from 1 house to the next... better than it going to the dumpster! we've also gotten a free kitten from there and not to mention, all my jobs in the past have come from there as well lol .... think I like the site?
