CPA in the house Tax question, need help
the last two years I've been doing my own taxes, yes old school, paper and pencil. I like it that way.
For 2016 my former employer did not take enough out of my pay check ($20.00) short almost every month for my monthly LIRR ticket. I used transitchek which allowed this to be pre tax benefit. The first few months of 2016 they did not take out the correct amount by it was $100/mo.
is there a way I can reap that benefit now on my tax return. If yes, how do I do this and what form do I need to use.
TIA.

No. There is no way to get a tax benefit of the mass transit commuting costs except through transitcheck. Sorry!
