Cozymels at the Source?
I'm looking to have a bday dinner for my DH on a Friday night...
Hoping to get somewhere in RVC that will have a Prix Fixe menu for about $19.99/person... I'd run a tab for drinks.
Any suggestions?
TIA!
eta: I will be paying for dinner for about 20 people so trying to keep it inexpensive...
Are there any hibachi places in/near RVC?

Re: Inexpensive restaurants in RVC?
I think Jani has hibachi. I would also try Blue Moon or Nick's.

Try McQuades in Lynbrook. Not sure how their pricing is, but they have a private room in the back.
Maybe Fire Grill, Churchills, or Croxleys. I remember we did something at George Martin's for NYE with friends and it wasn't too bad.

Re: How about El Mariachi in RVC?
Bumping for new restaurant... Has anyone been to El Mariachi? Is it OK for about 20 people? eta: This would be for a Friday night in February.

El Mariachi is fun, and the food is pretty good, but the inside is kinda gross... the redid the outside and didn't touch the inside.
Dodici's in RVC has a room in the back. I think Grill Fire in RVC does parties.. and George Martin in RVC has a back room, but that's prob more $$

Not a huge fan of the food at El Mariachi but it's a fun, authentic atmosphere for a party.

Re: Cozymels at the Source?
If you'd go to Westbury, and you wanted Hibachi.. why not benihana? Or that other one across from Grand Lux Cafe at the mall?
What about Caio Baby? My 30th surprise party was there.. there is a room in the back. Great food, great atmosphere, GREAT DRINKS!

True - Westbury opens up a whole nother slew of restaurants. Thanks!
Bay Shore and Queens are my furthest east and west guests - you think Westbury is do-able?
