Re: Cove Haven Resorts??

I have to tell you that I LOVE COVE HAVEN! We have gone there twice. The first time I got the champagne towers, and that was great and the second time I had the garden of eden apple (which I love also). I don't think it is chessy at all, very romantic. It can be very expensive tho, for the weekend for the champagne towers we spent over 1,000. You breakfast and dinner are included. They do have a cafe that you can have lunch if your hungry but you have to pay for that. You do have a refrigerator in your room, so I normally bring chips and dip to eat. The weekends always has the most entertainment. I really like the winter because they have snowmobiling and snowtubing! We have gone there in the summer and I think it, but I think the winter is so romantic. In the summer they have speedboats, fishing! If you stay at one, you can go to the other resorts as well, they aren't that close. We are actually leaving to go this friday! Can't wait!!!

Re: Cove Haven Resorts??

We went once a couple years ago..... It was fun... in a cheesy way... mirrors on the ceiling, round bed, champagne glass hot tub, heart shaped pool... if you have a good sense of humor about it then it can be fun.... the thing I didn't like was that at dinner you sit at a big table with other couples, maybe its just me, but when I'm away with my DH for a night, I dont' want to see or talk to anyone else Chat Icon I can't give any advice about the activities there... we didn't really leave the room Chat Icon

We went to Cove Haven a few years ago. It was really nice but in mine honest opinion it was extremely overpriced for what it was.

Re: Cove Haven Resorts??

hey thank u for ur opinons. I dont think it would b that expensive. The rate is 190 a night for the cheapest room (during the week). I figured we would go for three nights because I dont think we need much more time than that. I'm still contemplating...i really do not like the idea of eating wtih other couples for dinner. I woul dlike to b alone with my dh.. any other opinions on this resort are much appreciated. thank u again!

You don't have to sit with everyone, you can request a table with just you and your husband!

Re: Cove Haven Resorts??

We went to the Pocono Palace, and had the room with the private pool. It was fun, but I agree with the PP, it is almost overly cheesy. There were lots of activities, and the food was so-so. Not gourmet, but tasty. Alcohol is not included. We had a round bed, which was one of the most uncomfortable beds I ever slept in.

We're going to Mohonk Mountain House for our next close by, all inclusive vacation, and I like that it seems more luxury and less cheesy, and the food is supposed to be amazing. And there's a spa. It's in New Paltz.
