Could you eat...
sausage if you are pregnant? I am pretty sure it has nitrates in it.

i am not sure so i have stayed away from it the entire preg so far. I am sure it is ok if you dont eat it all the time

I eat in on occasion, but it's in the sauce I make, so I guess I am always getting the residual effects!
Although, if you buy fresh sausage from the butcher, I doubt it has a lot nitrates.

I eat it all the time. In fact, I'm eating a breakfast sandwich with it right now! I can't get enough with the breakfast sandwiches!!!!!

This wasn't on my list of bad foods from the doctor either, nor was bacon.
I wouldn't eat sausage or bacon frequently--pretty sure they both have nitrates, but on occassion it should be okay.
