Could this have been the baby?

As I was driving to work this morning I felt a tugging feeling right behind my belly button. It didn't hurt but just felt weird, I was wondering if it could have been the baby tugging or playing with the umbilical cord.

Is that what it could have been or feels like?

It could have been the baby - or it could have been your uterus growing.

I didn't know for sure that I felt the baby until week 20, but i kept thinking I felt her from week 12 on.

From what I've read, when it starts it will be like light gas bubbles, butterflies or popcorn popping. The first feelings won't be strong or pulling like you described. Your uteris is stretching a lot, I bet it was that.

But I know how you feel....I'm so anxious to feel something! I had the butterfly feeling last week at 15 weeks, 2 days. I'm waiting for them to come back so I know what they were!
