could I be losing my mucus plug?

I woke up around 1am to go to the bathroom and there was some very light pink on the TP. I went back to bed and woke up again around 4 to use the bathroom, this time there was some brownish discharge on my panty liner and a little pink on the TP.
Went again a little while ago and it looks even more gross on the TP with some more pinkish to reddish tinge.
At my last Dr appt the video I saw said some spotting in the last few weeks of pregnancy is normal so I am not freaking out just yet, I am waiting for my doctors office to open and then I am going to call.

FYI: I am 35w4d today.

The mucus plug looks like globs of snot when ot comes out (sorry to be gross!). It's like globby/stringy looking and like a yellowish color with some reddish/brownish streaks in it. Did you have an internal or anything in the last couple days? If so, the spotting could be from that.

No, I did not have an internal exam at my last appointment. Now I am not sure what to think. I guess I will kepp an eye on everything and give my doc a call.

We are about the same time and my Doc said to call if I see any signs of spotting or feel contractions. It might not be the mucus plug (or it can be) but we're def getting closer.
