Costco eye doctor
Anyone ever use the Costco eye doctor for their LO? DS turned 4 last month. At both his 3 yr and 4 yr well visit they said he may have a stigmatism, but hard to tell at that age. He doesn't seem effected by it and figured I'll just get his eyes checked now so this way if it's nothing and we need to go back in the future he has some kind of baseline.
I made an apt first with an eye doctor recommended by my Ped. He was the only one who I thought took our insurance and turns out they don't. I was at Costco today and realized they had a reasonable eye exam. Thoughts? Should I wait to get him checked since it doesn't seem like a big deal?

Re: Costco eye doctor
For a child, I'd go to an ophthalmologist, not an optometrist, which I think Costco has.

Re: Costco eye doctor
I've personally used the costco opthamologist and he was fine. My brother had recommended him as he worked with him a lot on finding lenses that fit, and when I went, he was pretty spot on for my exam (I have an incredibly high prescription and require some extra checking in various parts of the eye). This was at the Westbury/Garden City location... I can't speak to how he would be with kids, but in terms of being "legit" I wouldn't have any concerns there. Good luck!
