Costa Rica

DH and I are going next week for our 1 year anniversay.

I'm a little bummed b/c the weather forecast is calling for rain every day Chat Icon . Has anyone been there this time of year? Is their rain really rain - or just showers here and there?

Also, any recommendations as to excursions and things to see?

Re: Costa Rica

It's pretty much like anywhere tropical.. every day it rains for a few minutes, then stops and is gorgeous out. Some days this happens more than others, but you'll be fine.

I've found that Weather.com is so unreliable for places outside the US, for what that's worth Chat Icon

Re: Costa Rica

Costa Rica was a blast. it was the last trip i took before i was pregnant. actually i think i was a few days pregnant when i was there but didn't know it.

We stayed at the tabacon resort. They had gorgeous hot springs and a really nice spa. It was very reasonably priced as well.

You MUST MUST MUST go waterfall repelling with Defasio. It was one of the best experiences ever. I'm so glad I was able to do this before I had babies.

We also did ziplining with Sky Trek. What an adrendalin rush!

Re: Costa Rica

Here's my Review of Costa Rica

We stayed in Manuel Antonio for our entire trip. We also went during the rainy (green as they call it) season, and we only had rain on one day. DH and I have traveled ALOT and this was by far the best place we've traveled to.

WOW! Looks like you had an amazing trip! Thanks for sharing.
We are flying into Liberia so I'm not sure where that is in relation to where you stayed but it looks beautiful. Chat Icon
