Cost of Masonry Work? Cost of Deck?
How much approximately does it cost to put down a nice brick patio (the brick everyone is using these days)? Nothing fancy just a 15x15 foot patio? Some of you have that in your pics and it looks fantastic!
Also, if we can't afford to do that, we wanted to expand or build a new deck. Does anyone know the costs associated with that?

decks can range greatly, so be careful. friends of ours got estimates ranging from 5K to 25K for their deck so make sure to do your homework...
we need our front brick steps redone (in attached pic) and are estimating this would be 4-6K. we have a deck and patio in back, but have no idea what that would cost to redo... Image Attachment(s):

we are adding a deck to our house. We got quotes anywhere from 13k-23k - (the 23k guy was REALLY high!!) We are going with a Trex deck - wood would be about 1/3 cheaper.

When choosing a patio the bricks that you pick and the details that you want all come into play. My uncle did my patio and porch so I can't go by the price that they gave me but I def. think it is more cost effective to go with a patio. We were torn between deck and patio also - but when we heard that your taxes go up with a deck our decision was made!

We are getting a round stoop - A walkway done - And Brick Pavers for our flower Beds all for around $3600
The guy that is doing the work does amazing work - He did my father in laws house and a few houses in his area.....
Here is a B4 shot - soon I will have an after shot. Also all the bushes in front of the house are gone - we took them out last week

The type and style of brick will most def. make an adjustment in overrall price.
