Cost of LIRR weekly and monthly tickets
If I were to buy a monthly ticket today, would I pay the same price as if I purchased it on 8/1 or will the cost be prorated for the fact that it is already half way though the month of august? Meaning, would I pay 1/2 the monthly price?

To get the full benefit you'd need to ride the train every day.
It's one price. No matter what day you buy it.
