Why are the taxes so high? I know that you have to look around because some of the area is not so great and the SD is just okay. I am looking at N. Coram, the H-section and the taxes are pretty high any idea why?

I know but the taxes seem really high considering the SD is so so. I mean my parents live in a much better SD in brookhaven and their taxes arent as high. I have been researching this and i am seeing that a lot of these houses are "newer", IGP's, and somewhat descent size land.

are you sure about that?

i would think there are PLENTY of areas that have much higher taxes on LI than that area

Re: Coram

well then maybe that is why the taxes are higher than other places

because of the amount of land the homes are on are larger than other areas

i know it is hard to find a home in centereach that is on an acre...

and the ones that are have higher taxes
