Copay for Dr visit

Do you pay a copay every time you go in or is it all covered at one price?

Re: Copay for Dr visit

I am not sure. The first time I went in they said I had a credit (don't know how that happens) and they haven't said anything ever since so I never bring it up.Chat Icon

Re: Copay for Dr visit

I believe most insurance companies cover the copay after 10 weeks... however, if you go in many times before then, you'd have to pay the copay each time. Most pregos don't go in until the 7-8th week, and not again until almost the 2nd trimester, so it makes sense that most would only pay 1-2 copays during the pg.

Yep, the only money I laid out so far for both pregnancies has been the copay for the first visit and that was it.

No, I paid just one copay for my entire pregnancy.

ETA: I have United Healthcare.

We did actually pay our 10% up front as well.

You are only supposed to pay the copay for the 1st visit. Call your insurance and ask them.l
