Cooking

Do you cook because you have to or because you want to?

There are days where I want to but most of the time because I have to.

Re: Cooking

Usually becasue I want to. I love cooking. It is a creative outlet for me. And I am always gratified when I feed a meal to an appreciative audience.

There are times when I just am NOT feeling it.. so i go through the motions because I have to get ti done. You can TASTE the difference.

Re: Cooking

I do it because I love to. I've been cooking since I was 12, and it's such a passion of mine.

Sometimes I'll just read through a cookbook, as if it's a novel, for inspiration.

And the fact that a Fairway is opening this summer in Queens gave me a little earthquake inside. Chat Icon

I do have 'off' days though...and then it's either take-out or slightly creative grilled cheese for us (ie., interesting cheese/bread/fillings)

Have to Chat Icon

I don't enjoy it at all. Buying the ingredients, putting it together, using 1034904 bowls/pots to make it, clean up the mess, clean up the dishes... God I wish I had a live-in chef Chat Icon

I do it because I absolutely LOVE cooking!

There are definitely days when I am just too tired or I am just not feeling it, but I generally enjoy and look forward to it. I like that I can be creative and I love seeing people enjoy eating what I make!

Re: Cooking

I do it because I love to. It's my stress reliever at the end of the day. I love cooking for guest also. BUT lately I am just in a funk since I am 6 months pregnant and exhausted most of the time that I cook because DH and DS need to eat and I don't want them eating crap!

Re: Cooking

I really do love it but by the end of the day I'm usually to tired to enjoy it. Especially the thought of cleaning up. I try to cook extra on the weekends when I can enjoy it more and just freeze or store for busy weekdays. I really enjoy it so much more on the weekends!
