Convertible Bed and Bed Skirt--Advice Needed

we just moved DD's crib mattress down to the lower level and now her bed skirt looks odd..

What did you do with the crib bed skirt once the crib was lowered? Did you take it off? Can you use it again when you convert to a toddle bed or full?

Also at what age did you drop the mattress?

We took it off when we moved the mattress down. We just converted to a toddler bed this weekend and still have it off b/c the mattress is still in that same position.

DS was starting to pull up when we moved it down -- prob 9 months, maybe earlier. He's 2.5 yrs old now.

I ended up rolling it up under the mattress so that it looked the right length. It was a PITA when I had to change the sheets though cause you have to re-roll but it looked pretty

I pulled it back so that it was the right length in the front and super long in the back but you can't tell because the back is up against a wall.
