Contractions.

I've read a couple of different types of feelings women have. Since this is my first pregnancy, and I'm 33 weeks tomorrow, I just want to know what some of them feel like.

The past 2 days, I've had cramps that feel like really bad gas. The one thing throwing me off is 1.) it's REALLY painful to the point where I'm in tears and 2.) since I assumed it was a gas pain, of course I went to try to go to the bathroom and nothing happens. It's the kind of gas pain that makes me think I'm going to explode. (sorry for the TMI).

my legs hurt from it, and my back and entire belly area hurt. And it happened every 10 minutes. I went online to see other forums of what others say and some of them say your stomach gets rock hard, which mine is not, it's still a bit on the squishy side.

I had really bad gas this week (38w) and the doc said it could be ligament pain, cervix softening etc. You might want to go to doc or hospital and have them make sure you are not contracting....just in case

I had similar type pain last week.....On Wednesday afternoon I started to feel funny and that night I went out with my husband to Home Depot. I had pain where I felt like I was going to double over....my immediate thought was it's really bad gas but I said to my husband "I think I'm having contractions" He didn't know what to do so we proceeded to shop and that night I came home, laid down and went to bed. Come Thursday, I was having these really bad gas like pains all day....was kinda crampy but felt more like bad gas. Low and behold I called my doctor when I got home from work and they sent me right over to L&D. It was determined right away that I was having contractions and was in False Labor. Your situation sounds so similar to mine....I was 34 weeks at that point. If you are still having these pains and are doubling over, especially every 10 minutes, then I would CALL YOUR DOCTOR....better to be on the safe side. If you lay down on your left side and the pain subsides, it could be gas, but I would still call the Doctor and see what they say.....even if you have to get them on the Emergency Line since it's a weekend.....Good luck and keep us updated

the thing is I was just at the ER thursday night for different kinds of pain...the baby keeps kicking in the same region, right under my right boob near my rib cage/ gall bladder and they did a renal sono to check for gall stones and a stress test and everything came back normal. and, they said i was not contracting, but the gas pains started when i was home.

i have an appointment monday and I have actually been fine with "gas" pain since 1pm, so I may just wait if I don't feel it again. if I feel it again I will call...because I ended up making a bowel movement today, so maybe it was? i just never had a stomach ache like that before and it was weird.
