Constipation in a newborn
Is there a way to help a newborn poop. I think with the change in formulas he's having some trouble pooping.
I know with a toddler prunes help, but can you do anything for a newborn. I did the thermometer trick already.

Have you tried an ounce of warm water in a bottle? Water does great things for infants.

Re: Constipation in a newborn
Keep trying the themomoter. Eventually it will worl. i had the same prob with my DD. I didnt keep it in long enough last time because i was scared. I had my mom come over and do it. LOL, and it worked like a charm. Every so often I have to do it now.. as they get bigger and start w/ baby food they go better.

We gave DD prune juice and it really helped. She had some major issues and didn't go for 3-4 days at a time.

Water was the only thing that worked for DS. Prunes did nothing for him!
