Constipation and RTF formula

DD has been a bit constipated. She is FF so I know she only "goes" once every other day. she has gone 2-3 days without anything for almost the past two weeks and when she did go it was hard and lumpy. Then it got pasty, but still not back to the normal soft poop. I called the ped. and he recommended the Gentilese RTF and said that she should be on that until 4 months. The other ped. in the group that we see said RTF just for the first month and we haven't really had a problem with the powdered formula until just recently.

ETA: DD is 9 weeks old.

Anyone else use RTF to alleviate constipation symptoms? How long was DC on it? I don't want to make it worse by going back and forth with formulas, but RTF for good is too expensive!.

Also, is BRU the cheapest place to get it or what about Costco or BJs?

I get a 6 pack at BJ's for $30.00 of RTF Similac Sensitve My DD is 13 weeks and she goes every 2 days

We don't use that formula (DD has both BM and enfamil lipil)

but she gets constipated so she sometimes has a small amount of water (like 1-2oz) and sometimes a few tsp's of prune juice in her bottle...

that has helped some
