constant braxton hicks
I am 37 weeks. I have been having braxton hicks since my second trimester. This past week they are getting stronger, and much much more frequent (although time-wise they are still all over the place) and some pretty bad back pain and period like cramps. In addition, I have visibly dropped.
In any case, I have a doctors appointment today, but I was just wondering if others are having this, have had this and if it means that labor might be coming soon????????
I sincerely hope that I dont have to go on like this for another 3-4 weeks. It is getting pretty painful.

Re: constant braxton hicks
I had all those symptoms starting at 37 weeks. I was convinced I was going to go in to labor at any minute. I am now 3 days overdue and I am even contracting but not strong enough to induce active labor. I was very uncomfortable from the pressure and braxton hicks. Everyone is different you can very well go early!! Either way you are in the final stretch!! Good Luck

Re: constant braxton hicks
I figured that it doesnt necessarily mean anything
Hopefully though I will go a little early. I guess I a am a wimp, but being so uncomfortable that it borders on painful is really wearing me out.

Re: constant braxton hicks
I'm going through that as well. I'll be 37 weeks on Sunday. I had an internal yesterday and am 1 cm but not yet effaced. I was progressing the same with my DD and she was born at 39 weeks, 3 days. So, the BH don't necessarily mean you'll deliver soon. But, if they get strong enough and break your water then it's show time! I woke up a few times last night in pain and am hoping I'll be early too, but trying not to get my hopes up!

Oh man, Im right there with you. At 37wks I am getting them more frequently and they are sooo uncomfortable and sometimes painful. I too was wishing this meant early labor but know it can mean nothing...

Re: constant braxton hicks
I'm only 30 weeks but I get pre-term contractions. I know my Dr. said 4-5 times withing 1 hour is when you should start to be concerned labor could be on the way!
