Concerns about the ultimate crib sheet
Hi. I am hoping to get others' opinions on this. I was so excited to buy the ucs. I bought 3 of them! I started to put all of the bedding on the crib today and I have 2 concerns:
One being I can't snap the middle snap by the head of the crib or the foot of the crib because I don't have slats on the ends of the crib. I only have slats on the sides of the crib. So, I feel like the crib sheet is too open at the head and foot of the crib. I am concerned about the baby moving eventually and then getting stuck under it.
With the bumpers on, it completely covers the edges of the crib sheet though. They are regular bumpers, not breathable ones.
My other concern is the crib sheet isn't as tight fitting as a fitted sheet. I am worried about it being a tiny bit loose in certain spots and it interfering with the baby breathing.
Has anyone else noticed this about it? I really would like to hear what others think because now I am considering not using them.
Can you tell I am making myself nuts?
Please help!

Re: Concerns about the ultimate crib sheet
ok I was curious about this too.. im getting a crib with a flat panel back- so its not going to snap perfectly either...
i just went to target.com and looked at the reviews for the product-sorting by least stars first...
one lady wrote "The first time I found one of our sons partially under the sheet, I assumed that I had forgotten to fasten one of the snaps. The second time, I knew better. And the third time, when it was not just over his legs but over his FACE, with the vinyl underside clinging to his lips and nose with every breath"
another "Well, the snaps on the sheet let go and he somehow managed to get UNDERNEATH the sheet"
im guessing im only going to use this product underneath the fitted crib sheet, dh is ultra concerned about any sids risk

Re: Concerns about the ultimate crib sheet
Thanks for the info. See, this is exactly what I was concerned about. When I asked my DH what he thought, he said he has an idea for attaching it to both ends of the crib. I'll see what he comes up with. Right now I have it attached at the sides and near both ends.

Re: Concerns about the ultimate crib sheet
believe it or not I do not attach it. I have a similar issue with my crib, and rather than worry about it shifting, I just put it under the regular sheet to protect the mattress.
