computer question
my computer "locks" after sitting idle for 5 minutes...is there a way to change that?

If it's a work computer, possibly not. It might be mandatory.
Minimize all your windows and right click on any blank area of your desktop. Choose Properties. Go to the Screen Saver tab. If the screen save is enabled and "On resume, display Welcome screen" is checked, uncheck it. Click OK.
