I think my computer has something. all of a sudden while my husband was on the computer we started to get all this stuff saying we have viruses and we should buy this progarm, yada, yada, yada. The problem is now i can't get rid or it. how do i get of it? can i deframent my computer or somehting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't think it is really a program from my computer but i don't know how to be sure. I will not log onto anything right now where i have to enter my id or password. I am freaking out.

Re: computer help, please
When I have computers infected at work, I use Spybot first, then run AdAware and AVG Anti-Spyware. Each will most likely find multiple things. You may want to run them more than once and take note of the persistent ones. Then look those up online to find out how to get rid of them permanently.
Some of them will hide themselves in the registry and the Windows XP Restore files. You may be in for some work to get them gone.
Once they are gone, keep one (or all) of those anti spyware programs installed and run the updates and system checks on a regular basis. I installed AVG AntiSpyware on my work computers three months ago and have been pretty happy with the results.
