Completely Blown Away
OMG . . . today was my office shower!
I cannot believe what they did!! I wish I had pics to share, but as of yet I do not, but I do have the story.
My former next door office mate retired in July but when she left she said she better be informed of when this shower was so she could attend.
Well, not only did she attend, she planned the entire thing from FLORIDA!!! She flew home yesterday instead of right before Thanksgiving just to be here for the event. Besides all the planning she cooked!!! She made chicken with pineapple (YUM!!!), rice & beans, salad (potato, macaroni, and green), stuffing, spiral ham and FLAN!! (yummy, yummy, yummy) They also had veggies w/dip and chips w/dip. In addition to the flan the office ordered a cake from Create a Cake (oh so cute!!), and got a huge platter of baklava!!!!
She decorated one of her dining room chairs for me to sit in and open gifts! Apparently the office sent out the book poem, so we got tons of books, some clothes, and a handmade blanket and booties AND a gift card for BRU with a sum of $$$ on it that made me want to  and  at the same time. It definitely made me go  !
I just can't believe how generous everyone was between the books and the $$ to pay for food and then to contribute to a gift card on top of it! I am so amazed! What a great time!!

Frankly, there are a few individuals there that I would not have classified as human!!! In fact, at least one of the sub-types took the day off today so as not to be conspicuously absent from the festivities!
