I get on the train today. Sit down..check my blackberry..10 minutes or so into the ride I realize I have two yentas next to me. The whole train is quiet except the hens.

I give it 5 more minutes. I decided to move. I go down two trains to find a nice spot. The train was somewhat light today. I sit down. 20 minutes later a guy comes over to me and says that I'm sitting in his seat.

Exsqueeze me? We have assigned seats now? I didn't get the memo.

I ask him where he's been for 20 minutes. He says the bathroom. Ok, fine. He said his stuff was on the other seat. (across from me) It looked like a garbage bag to me. I told him there is no saving of seats on the train. He says I asked you nicely, now you have to be a b!tch. He says, can't you just move?

At this point, I want to really tell him off, but want to offer a quick one liner and leave. I didn't want to draw it out and disturb everyone on the train.

So I said, yep, I'll move, let me out. He wouldn't get out of the way. I said it again. He let me out. I didn't want to sit anywhere near him.

As I walked out I said, have a nice weekend Jackazz. He said you too b!tch.

The people on the train were annoyed. Now, I don't know if they were annoyed in general or at either one of us, but that's just crap.

He could have sat where his bag was. I could have really gone off on him with that too, but it wasn't worth it.

That got me so steamed this morning. Good thing I went to acupuncture today.

He was in the bathroom for 20 minutes.

God help the next person that went in there.

I hope you're keeping track of these stories for a book.

I really wanted to tell him to go sit somewhere else but like I said I didn't want to drag it out.

He said he was sitting there since Ronkonkoma. Aside from the bathroom and where his bag was sitting..how many seats does this guy get. It sounds like his bag got a seat for the whole ride and he got two seats.

I though after commuting on the LIRR for 10 years (gave it up 3.5 yrs ago) that I've heard it all, but your stories are too funny.

i was off today so didnt have the pleasure of the LIRR and my 2 buses but let me tell you, people are just so annoying. Yesterday morning it was a short train and i get on and sqeeze in and there are a few open seats acattered thru the last car. I go to sit down and the lady across from me goes, "oh i am sorry,i am saving that seat for someone" so I proceede to sit in the seat (i was in one of those moods) and she says it again and I say, " i am sorry? what?" as I am making myself all comfortable. SO she says, "I was holding that seat for my friend." So I say, "oh, I am sorry." and I dont move!

Do you know her friend doesnt get on the train until 2 stops after!!!!!!!

i am sorry, at $211 per month, if I find a seat, i am sitting, there are no RESERVATIONS!!!!
