I may get flamed but I chose to touch up at 9 weeks. I have SO much grey hair and the rest of my hair is very dark, that I couldn't stand it anymore. My hairdresser told me that most of her cliients continued to color their hair - but it is a personal choice.

I usually get my hair highlighted once every 6-8 weeks but I only colored my hair 1 time during my pregnancy and that's all I plan on doing. I did my highlights a few weeks ago. I'm sure you'll hear a million opinions but I would stray away from any coloring in at least the 1st trimester.

no flaming here cause I did the same thing. I use amonia free color and my hairdresser does her sisters when they are PG the entire PG. She told me its a personal choice but she said if she felt like it was bad she wouldnt do it to me. She said so many of her clients continue as they normally do.

I continued my normal hair routine as soon as the 1st trimester was over. Since then I have done highlights and toner 2x's and have an appointment again for next week, which will be my last one until DS arrives!

I have 3 1/2 more weeks till 2nd tri and I'm trying to hold out.
I have given thought to a "rinse" though... But I'm gonna wait.

i wouldn't color my hair. Actually I kept it to a minimum.
i didn't dye my hair until well into the 3rd trimester. I did highlights and toner.
I had a mc in the past so I tend to be a little more nervous by things than most people.

my dr said highlights are fine anytime.
dye is okay after the 1st trimester but ask for ammonia free

I'd say highlights or amonia free color.
I personally decided to wait until after 14 weeks to touch up my highlights, it's a personal choice and I believe Mommy has to look good to feel good!
whatever works for you and is okayed by your OB is fine!

Sorry... just wouldn't. Not even later in pregnancy... and I've got fully WHITE hair coming through. It's just not worth it.

Crashing...
When I was pg with DS, I didn't dye my hair at all throughout the whole pregnancy. Thankfully I had gone kinda dark before I got pregnant so the new growth wasn't AS noticeable (although of course you could see it, just not as bad as it would have looked if my color had been drastically different than my natural color).
My BFF who is a doctor colors her hair during pregnancy. She recommends waiting until after the 1st trimester.

I have highlights and although I have some roots I decided to hold off until after the baby is here. I was going to get it done after the 12 weeks but felt more comfortable waiting.
