Colonials - Staggered?
Anyone have or heard of a staggered colonial?
If so, what do you think of them? Do they have a good/ liveable flow?

Re: Colonials - Staggered?
I have a split colonial. Not sure if that's the same thing. It's essentially 4 levels. The entry level is a center hall, guest room, office, family room, 1.5 baths. The living room is up a few stairs, the dining room and kitchen are up a few more stairs from the living room, and then the upper level is 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. I also have a finished basement. I really like the layout, but the only potential problem with my house is the amount of stairs. My DS is old enough right now that I don't have to worry about him on the stairs too much, but when #2 arrives and starts crawling we are going to have to put gates everywhere!

Re: Colonials - Staggered?
That's one of the things I was thinking about, having kids there -we'd need alot of gates up! THe house we're looking at walks into the living room, a few steps down is a bath and kitchen, from the other side same number of stairs into the dining room. Then upstairs is three bedrooms and one bath.
