Cold/Sinus Medications
Does anyone know what we are allowed to take in the 2nd trimester? I called my dr. but the receptionist said the dr. will call back. I'm driving to Syracuse tomorrow and driving home on Wednesday and just have some sinus issues and a tickle in my throat for the past few days. I just want to feel well for the drive and need to get to the store now! TIA!

Re: Cold/Sinus Medications
I was told only PLAIN Robitussin (Guafenisen I think it is) and PLAIN Mucinex - not the D.

Re: Cold/Sinus Medications
With DS in my 3rd trimester I was told only regular Tylenol Cold/Sinus. Nothing with psuedoephedrine (which is what really works).

Re: Cold/Sinus Medications
I take a vitamin called HMC Hesperidin (made by Thorne Research), it's a natural antihistamine, and my doc okayed it (I take it daily when I'm having sinus issues until they clear up). Thorne also makes a nasal spray that gives a little more relief than saline, it's something with a Q, if you search their site you can find it!

Same except the Mucinex...
YOu have to make sure it is the right Robitussin its harder to find. I just got it from Rite Aid I tried target they didnt have it. Ask the pharmacist they will tell you too. Feel better!

Re: Cold/Sinus Medications
Plain Sudafed. I also use real nose spray when I am really congested, saline is a joke and I CANNOT function if I can't breathe.
Feel better!

Cold/Sinus Medications
I'm getting over this cold thing myself. Doctor told me Mucinex, Tylenol Cold and Sinus, and Sudafed were all okay to take- just nothing with DM on the box Feel better!
