cold during IVF?

As luck would have it, I caught the cold my co-worker so kindly shared with the entire office. I spoke with the dr today and they said Tylenol and vicks vapor rub and call if I get a fever. I should trigger probably sometime next week and now I am nervous this may effect my bfp. I'm sure I'm being dramatic but now I feel like I will stress over this. Hopefully this will pass in a few days, I just started feeling sick this morning out of no where and now I can't breath. I haven't been sick in over 2 years and this is the impeccable timing I have!Chat Icon

I think you'll totally be fine, and I'm sure the cold will be gone by transfer. Keep well hydrated! Feel better!!

I had a cold during my retrieval AND transfer.

I could barely breathe during my retrieval... luckily, they went ahead anyway.

I ended up with this:

Have you already had your retrieval and transfer? If so, I'm sure it's not going to affect whether you get a BFP or not.

If you have not got to retrieval yet you could ask for antibiotics. They are usually part of the IVF protocol anyway and would probably help.

No, not yet. I had an appt this am with my re and she told me some things I could do. I have a couple of days before the retrieval, probably Tuesday or Wed so hopefully I will be ok by then. They just said to watch for fevers. I came home early and just plan to stay in bed the entire weekend. Thanks!
