How long are coldcuts good for? Specifically turkey.

I find after a few days turkey tends to get slimey... thats when its done in my eyes!
so at most maybe 5 days?

Yeah that's what I thought. I usually just buy enough for 2 or 3 days but I bought too much this time. Oh well.

I'm a freak about cold cuts. Must be Boars Head and I won't eat it after 2 or 3 days.

Yeah that's what I thought. I usually just buy enough for 2 or 3 days but I bought too much this time. Oh well.



Oh also - you can freeze it if it's only a couple days old.

not very long, the only that lasts a bit longer is the cheese...

I completely agree for meats, but not for cheese. I don't have a problem with sliced American/Swiss for a week.

Ill check it out before I dump it. I find that boars head is the best and lasts up to 5-7 days without becoming slimey. Cheese can last longer.
